1.  When can I drop my dog off for boarding?

Dogs can be dropped off anytime between 10 a.m. and 6 p.m. Monday through Saturday, provided they have a reservation to stay with us.  To make a reservation, please call us at (570) 489-2118.

2.  Can I visit the kennel before making a reservation?

You are welcome to visit at any time during our regular business hours, but, as a courtesy to the dogs already staying with us, please do not bring your dog with you until you are checking him in.

3.  Do I need to bring anything with my dog?

Before your dog can stay with us, we’ll need to check that his DHLPP, Rabies, and Bordetella (Kennel Cough) vaccines are all up to date, so please bring a copy of his vaccination records with you.  Please also make sure that your dog is wearing a properly fitted collar and identification tag.

You are also welcome to bring your dog’s own food, treats, toys, or a blanket/bed if you wish.  If you do not bring food, we provide Sportmix dry dog food.  When bringing a blanket or bed, please try not to bring anything too large to fit into a standard washing machine.

4.  Will you give my dog his medication while he is boarding?

We will administer any medications that do not require injections.  When bringing medications, please also remember to pack whatever else you may use at home to give the dog their daily dosage.  (Peanut butter, cheese, dosing syringe, etc.)

Please bring medications in their original prescription bottles or write down the name of the medication for us.  If your dog requires more than two medications or a daily procedure such as medicated ear washes, tending to bandages, etc. an additional charge may be applied.

5.  I have two dogs that are boarding.  Can they stay in the same run?

At this time all dogs are kept in separate runs to promote cleanliness and to reduce stress.  We are currently looking into altering some of our runs to a larger size in order to accommodate more than one dog.

6.  Can you train my dog while she’s boarding?

Yes and no.  A usual “vacation-length” stay at the kennel is not quite long enough for us to accomplish as much as we would like to when training your dog.  We do, however, have a very successful In-Board Training program that is an option.

7.  Can you groom my dog while she’s boarding?

Grooming and/or nail trimming can be provided at an extra charge and will be done on the day that your dog is scheduled to go home.  Please let us know in advance if you would like your dog to be groomed before she leaves so we can add her to the appointment book.

8.  Do you walk the dogs?

As a precaution to prevent dogs from escaping or slipping out of their collars, we do not walk them outside the fences at any time unless their owner is present.  For exercise, each dog has a private 18 foot outdoor run with a roof to provide shade and protection from the elements.

9.  My dog is at the kennel at the same time as my neighbor’s dog.  Can they play together?

For health and safety reasons, all dogs are kept separate at all times.  Dogs that play well together at home when their owners are present may react very differently in a strange place with strangers around them.
